These Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms") define the conditions for using EmoRoute (hereinafter "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. By using this Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 1 (Service Overview)

This Service is an information service that visualizes location information based on timetable data of public transportation (trains and buses), and generates and provides story content about stations, bus stops, and their surrounding areas through generative AI (artificial intelligence).

Article 2 (Disclaimer)

1. Regarding Operation Information

The train and bus operation information and location data displayed in this Service are calculated based on publicly available timetable data and do not reflect real-time operation status. Actual operation conditions such as delays, cancellations, and schedule changes may differ. Please be sure to check official information from each transportation provider when actually traveling.

2. Regarding AI-Generated Content

Story content generated in this Service is created using generative AI (artificial intelligence). Please note the following:

• Content may contain information that differs from facts (hallucinations).
• Historical facts, facility information, business hours, etc. may not be accurate.
• Please verify important information through official sources.

3. Limitation of Liability

The operator assumes no responsibility for any damages (including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages) arising from the use of this Service. This Service is provided "as is" and makes no guarantees regarding accuracy, completeness, or usefulness.

4. Contact Restrictions

The public transportation data used by this application is provided by the Public Transportation Open Data Center.

Although based on data provided by public transportation operators, it is not necessarily accurate or complete.

Please do not contact public transportation operators directly regarding the content displayed in this application.

5. Translation Accuracy

Translations of story content are performed by generative AI (artificial intelligence), and may contain inaccurate expressions or incorrect translations. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of translated content, so please be aware of this limitation.

Article 3 (Prohibited Activities)

The following activities are prohibited when using this Service:

• Unauthorized copying, reprinting, or redistribution of this Service
• Unauthorized access to this Service or placing excessive load on it
• Activities that interfere with the operation of this Service
• Use for purposes that violate laws or public order and morals
• Other activities deemed inappropriate by the operator

Article 4 (Intellectual Property Rights)

Copyright, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights related to this Service belong to the operator or legitimate rights holders. The handling of copyrights for AI-generated content in this Service shall comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Article 5 (Service Changes and Suspension)

The operator may change the content of this Service or temporarily or permanently suspend its provision without prior notice. The operator assumes no responsibility for any damages arising from such changes or suspension.

Article 6 (Changes to Terms of Service)

The operator may change these Terms as necessary. The revised Terms of Service shall take effect from the time they are posted on this page.

Article 7 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

The interpretation and application of these Terms shall be governed by Japanese law, and any disputes relating to this Service shall be subject to the exclusive agreed jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the operator's location.

• Geospatial Information Authority of Japan: Reverse geocoding API
• OpenStreetMap: POI data
• Hot Pepper Gourmet Web Service API: Restaurant data

The use of each data source complies with the respective provider's terms of use.

This Privacy Policy explains how EmoRoute (hereinafter "Service") handles personal information and user data.

Article 1 (Information We Collect)

1. Account Information

This Service does not offer user registration or login functionality. Therefore, we do not collect personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or passwords.

2. Browser Local Storage

This Service stores the following information in your browser's local storage:

• Saved story data: Stories saved using the "Save" button are stored in your browser's local storage for 24 hours. This information is not sent to any server and is stored only on your device.
• User settings: User preference information such as language settings and generation mode are stored in local storage.

This data can be deleted by clearing your browser's cache.

3. Location Information

When using the "Show Current Location" feature, this Service obtains your current location through the browser's Geolocation API and displays it on the map. This location information has the following characteristics:

• Processed client-side only: Location information is used only within your browser and is not sent to our servers at all.
• Not stored: Location information is used only for temporary display purposes and is not stored.
• Permission required: Obtaining location information requires consent through your browser's permission dialog.

If you do not use the current location feature, positions on the map are based on manual user operation or the location information of selected stations/bus stops.

4. Access Logs

When accessing the server, the following information may be automatically recorded:

• IP address
• Access date and time
• Browser type and version

This information is used only for service operation and improvement, and prevention of unauthorized access, and is not used to identify individuals.

This Service may use cookies to provide basic functionality. Cookies can be disabled in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.
