EmoRoute is an emotional map guide service that visualizes public transportation data and provides various regional stories about landmarks, history, culture, and local facilities around stations, bus stops, and routes through generative AI.

Key Features

View train and bus positions based on timetable data on a 3D/2D map, and ask generative AI about stories of stations and routes that interest you. From the history of tourist spots to hidden local gems, we help you discover new travel experiences.

The train and bus operation information and location data displayed in this service are calculated based on timetable data and do not reflect real-time operation status. Please note that actual operation conditions may differ.

Additionally, the stories generated in this service are created using generative AI (artificial intelligence). Therefore, the content may contain information that differs from facts. When using the service, please verify the accuracy of information as needed.

The operator assumes no responsibility for any damages arising from the use of this service.

Various items are displayed on the map. Tap each one to view detailed information.

The current station where the train is stopped is displayed in the center based on the timetable. Centered on the current station, the arrival time is shown immediately to the left, and the departure time to the next station is shown immediately to the right.
In the example below, "Shibuya" is the current station, "Ebisu" is the previous station, and "Harajuku" is the next station.
The leftmost time shows the departure time from the previous station, and the rightmost time shows the approximate arrival time at the next station.

Based on the timetable, the current stop is displayed in the center. The arrival time is shown immediately to the left of the current stop, and the departure time to the next stop is shown immediately to the right.

Search Function

Tap the search icon at the top left of the screen to search by station name or bus stop name. You can switch between "Station" and "Bus Stop" tabs.

View Toggle

If the 3D view is difficult to see or the screen performance is slow, switch to 2D view. You can switch using the button on the screen.

Vehicle Display Toggle

You can switch the displayed vehicles using the button at the top left of the screen.

📖 Story Generation

The main feature of EmoRoute is the AI-powered story generation. It introduces the history, culture, restaurants, and recommended spots related to stations and routes in story format.

How to Generate a Story

  1. Tap a station, train, bus stop, or bus on the map.
  2. If needed, adjust the story generation settings (generation mode, search range, etc.)

  3. Tap the "Listen to Story" button in the information panel.

  4. Generation will start, and the story will appear shortly. If there are nearby landmarks or restaurants in EmoRoute's data, URLs will be displayed.

  5. Tapping a landmark URL opens Google Maps. Tapping a restaurant URL lets you choose between Hot Pepper Gourmet and Google Maps.

Types of Stories

Stories Around Stations/Bus Stops

Stories introducing landmarks, historical buildings, and cultural facilities around the selected station or bus stop.

Stories Along Railway Lines/Bus Routes

Travel stories along multiple stations/stops on train lines or bus routes. Introduces the charm of the area centered around nearby stations/stops.

Sharing Stories

Generated stories can be shared via the share button, which copies the story content and spot links for sharing on SNS or messaging apps.

Saving and Managing Stories

Generated stories can be saved to the save list using the "Save" button. Saved stories are retained for 24 hours. Please note that clearing your browser cache will delete them.

Generation Modes

You can select from 4 generation modes via the settings button. Each offers a different perspective to enjoy stories.

A standard mode that briefly introduces tourist spots and history. Recommended for first-time users.
⏳ Time Traveler
A time travel mode that overlays past and present views. Especially recommended for history enthusiasts.
🍽️ Foodie Walk
A mode focused on introducing nearby restaurants. Recommended for food tours and finding dining spots.
🐱 Cat Walk
A whimsical stroll mode guided by an alley cat. You might discover hidden gems!

Search Range Settings

You can adjust the range included in stories.

Search Range 1km / 2km / 3km Search radius around stations/bus stops
Train Station Range 1 / 2 / 3 stations ahead/behind Number of stations to include in railway line stories
Bus Stop Range 1 / 2 / 3 stops ahead/behind Number of stops to include in bus route stories

Language Settings

You can switch the display language from the language button at the top left of the screen.

💡 Note

Some place names and labels on the map may not be translated even when switching languages.

Time Settings

You can adjust the displayed time from the clock icon at the top left of the screen.

Information Display

You can check information about the currently displayed data (number of lines, stations, bus stops, etc.) from the "!" button at the top right of the screen.

Tutorial

You can redisplay the tutorial anytime from the "?" button at the top right of the screen.

Zoom In

You can zoom in on the map with the "+" button at the bottom right of the screen.

Zoom Out

You can zoom out on the map with the "−" button at the bottom right of the screen.

Compass

You can reset the map orientation to north with the compass button at the bottom right of the screen. It appears when you rotate the map.

Current Location

Tap the current location button at the bottom right of the screen to display your current location on the map. It also shows 300m and 500m range circles from your location.
